It is hard to find the fulfillment that comes only from God in a culture that places so much emphasis on ‘self.’ And yet this is the environment most people find themselves in. Modern philosopers unabashedly advocate ‘self-fulfillment’ as not only the road to happiness but, in an odd way, an inalienable right. I find this especially sad because it leads so many away from faith in God.”
