Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Mark 6:1-6Today’s gospel is about Jesus in his own hometown. He had very few followers there because they did not want to believe a person from their hometown could have any authority or be anyone of significance. The last words of the gospel leave one feeling perhaps guilty. It says, “And he was amazed at their unbelief.” Those words cut to the heart. Is Jesus sometimes amazed at MY unbelief? I certainly do not want that. However, in all honesty, I know I fall short in the area of trust. Today, I ask for greater trust in You, Jesus.
