Twenty First Sunday in Ordinary Time
John 6:60-69In today’s gospel reading we hear about those who could not accept the teaching of Jesus in giving us His body and blood to eat. Many of His disciples left Him at that time. “As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.”
Peter has a shining moment in this gospel story. He said, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”
May we, like Peter, stand up for Christ. Where else would we go? Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
