Feast Day of Our Guardian Angels
From the book entitled, Time to Meet the Angels, Dr. Mark Miravalle suggests we say the Guardian Angel prayer we learned as children:
Angel of God, my Guardian Dear,
To whom God’s love commits me here;
Ever this day be at my side;
To light, to guard, to rule, and guide.
He continues on, “Thus begins your relationship with your personal and loving friend of light, which can (and should) then expand into more frequent daily communication between you and your Angel throughout the day. For example, ask your Angel to enlighten your mind as to the best decisions throughout the course of the day. Ask your Angel to strengthen your will as to make the most appropriate choices. Ask your Angel to protect you against the many trials and difficulties the day may bring.”
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. Amen.
Thank you, Holy Trinity, for my Guardian Angel.
