Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Mark 10:46-52In today’s gospel reading, Bartimaeus calls out to Jesus for healing. One must admire his tenacity. He was told to be silent by many. “But he kept calling out all the more, ‘Son of David, have pity on me.’“
Jesus rewards this perseverance with the healing Bartinaeus is asking for. Jesus calls this perseverance “faith.”
Do you have perseverance in your prayer?
Jesus, have pity on me, that I may see.
