Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Luke 12:13-21Today’s gospel parable relays the story of the rich man who tore down his barns to build new ones to house his abundant crops. God says to him, “You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’
We here have a twofold message: 1. Beware of greed. 2. Store up heavenly treasures, not those of earth.
Where is your treasure? What do you hold dear to you? Are you greedy?
