Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time
Luke 10:17-24In today’s gospel, Jesus tells his disciples “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
This statement was essentially said to us. Through the benefit of the gospels and all the writings of the church, we, ourselves, have “seen” what the disciples saw. We have “heard” what they heard.
May we live our lives with evidence of having been the recipients of these tremendous graces.
