“I believe in Jesus Christ”
In today’s gospel reading, the story of the centurion asking for a healing for his servant is told. The famous words are spoken, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed.”
We repeat these words each time we come to mass, before we receive Jesus in the Eucharist. We say the words, “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.”
May we revernce these words with attention and purpose, declaring our faith in the desire of Our Lord to heal us, and His power to do so.
