Blessed Are the Meek
For they shall inherit the earthJust as meekness is considered a characteristic of being small, or unimportant, today's gospel (Luke 13:18-21) references the mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds. And yet, as Jesus says, "When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and ‘the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.’”
May we practice the virtue of meekness, so that Jesus may use us to let Him "grow" in the world.
