Blessed Are the Pure of Heart
For they shall see GodToday in Matthew 21:33-46, Jesus tells a parable about a landowner who sent a representative to collect what was due to him. The tenants killed each representative including the landowner's son. At the end of the parable, Scripture says "When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew that he was speaking about them. And although they were attempting to arrest him, they feared the crowds, for they regarded him as a prophet."
The Pharisees recognized the truth of the story. But it did not change their countenance. Let us pray today that our hearts become more pure. May we recognize God and respond with the homage due Him.
