The Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Mark 3:20-35We see Jesus is rejected by those closest to him, his relatives and neighborhood friends. This gives us reason to meditate on this example. Who are those hardest for us to have patience with? Ususally family members. We know them well and expect the most from them verses a stranger. Jesus is teaching us today that we must love. And this is hardest with those we know best. He also shows us just as He was hurt by the rejection of those closest to Him, our family is hurt by our rejection or lack of love for them.
Jesus, don't give up on us. Continue to teach us. Help us to see ourselves in the stories we hear at Church.
